Welcome to the FAFSA page!
The FAFSA stands for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. You must fill out the FAFSA to get any financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college. Many colleges use the FAFSA to determine which students will get financial aid - and how much they will get. Information is provided below to help you fill out the FAFSA.
If you plan to attend school between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, then you will submit the 2023-24 FAFSA. The 2023-24 FAFSA opened on October 1st. Many colleges have a priority deadline of February 1st to submit the FAFSA. The earlier you can get it done, the better!
